The regulatory role will involve the accreditation of organizations and agencies that provide digital ID services, the selection and approval of institutions for participation in the Australian Government’s digital ID system and the enforcement of legislation on the “non-privacy aspects” of digital identification.

The National Anti-Scam Center is also expected to launch on December 1.
