Ransomware-as-a-service operator KillSec claims to have stolen the personal data of customers from New South Wales-based housebuilder Vogue Homes.

Ransomware gang KillSec listed Prestons-based housebuilder Vogue Homes as a victim on its darknet leak site this weekend, claiming to have stolen a significant amount of data.

The gang did not list the exact volume of data exfiltrated, but they shared what they allegedly stole.

“The data contains, but is not limited to: personal information such as full names, contact numbers, email addresses and postal addresses. Financial information, including set prices and contractual agreements, is also present,” a KillSec spokesperson said in an undated post.

“Client data, detailing consultant information and project engagements, is included, as well as private data such as signed clauses, agreements and “non-disparagement” terms.

“In addition, commercial details such as design specifications, job numbers and project plans are provided. »

KillSec also shared several scanned documents as proof of hacking, including a signed contractual agreement, a signed non-disparagement contract, and a detailed floor plan of one of Vogue Homes’ home designs.

The gang did not indicate a ransom amount or payment deadline, but it sold previous data sets for €25,000.

Cyber ​​Daily has contacted Vogue Homes for comment but has not yet received a response.

KillSec has been operational since at least October 2023 and has claimed 93 victims across various sectors since its first sighting. In June 2024, the company announced its move to a ransomware-as-a-service (RaaS) business model.

The gang must meet a number of requirements to become affiliated, including a “basic understanding of English or Russian” and that no attacks should be carried out against critical infrastructure entities without authorization – that said , approximately 20% of KillSec victims are healthcare entities. ou des hôpitaux.

Russian and Ukrainian targets are also expressly banned, suggesting the gang members come from that region.

In addition to RaaS operations, the group announces several other “services” on its darknet site, including penetration testing and open source intelligence and data collection.
