Generation Life’s Hackett promoted to group CEO

Grant Hackett has been promoted to managing director of Generation Development Group (GDG), which acquired Lonsec earlier this year.

From 1 January, Hackett will move from Managing Director of subsidiary Generation Life to Director of GDG, with responsibility for continuing to support the group’s ambitious future growth plans.

Additionally, Rob Coombe will move from non-executive chairman to executive chairman to work closely with Hackett on key strategic initiatives for the next 12 to 24 months. The two men have worked closely together for seven years.

The day-to-day operations and management of the Group will continue under Hackett’s leadership.

Felipe Araujo, promoted to general manager of sales, marketing and operations, after joining Generation Life in 2017, will replace Hackett at Generation Life as CEO and general manager. His mission will be to continue the success of the company and elevate its brand as a market. leader in tax-friendly investment solutions, intergenerational wealth and retirement income.

On his appointment, Hackett said: “Being appointed CEO of Generation Development Group is an exciting challenge and shows the commitment we have to the group in 2025. My aim is to drive ambitious growth by leveraging our entrepreneurial spirit. innovation and our unwavering commitment to our investors. and shareholders.”
