Rubrik Launches Data Security Posture Management for Microsoft 365 Copilot
US cloud data management and security company Rubrik has revealed the launch of new features to help Microsoft 365 Copilot users reduce the risk of their sensitive data being accessed and exfiltrated by malicious actors.
The company today (October 16) announced Rubrik Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) for Microsoft 365 Copilot, a new tool that allows users to use the AI-powered assistant without the risk of exposing sensitive data .
“Organizations face significant pressure when it comes to improving the security of their rapidly growing data,” said Mike Tornincasa, chief commercial officer at Rubrik.
“Rubrik DSPM for Microsoft 365 Copilot helps protect these business-critical assets, allowing organizations to leverage the power of innovative tools like Copilot while maintaining a strong data security posture and ensuring cyber recovery , all within a comprehensive cyber-resilience platform.
Rubrik DSPM provides users with the tools necessary to ensure that sensitive data has the appropriate access permissions and is properly classified, labeled and segmented to ensure that it is only seen by the right people in the business.
The DSPM will identify missing or mislabeled data and correct the issues, preventing unauthorized users from accessing it. Additionally, it will detect files with sensitive content that are accessible throughout the organization or by the public and notify the organization so that access permissions can be corrected.
“Microsoft is committed to providing secure, intelligent productivity tools to our customers,” said Tony Surma, CTO, Americas Partners at Microsoft.
“The introduction of Rubrik Data Security Posture Management for Microsoft 365 Copilot aligns with our mission by providing robust data visibility and control, enabling organizations to confidently leverage AI-driven capabilities while ensuring the security of their sensitive data.
